UTTARAKHAND
Tucked at the very foot of the Himalayas, Uttarakhand is where India's vast lowland plains start their arduous climb to become the Himalayas. About 80% of the state is covered in thick forests, while most of the remaining 20% is snowcapped. Home to Char Dam and Rishikesh, Uttarakhand is one of the holiest and spiritual destinations in the country. It’s also the best place to view Nanda Devi, India’s second-highest mountain.

SIKKIM
With plunging mountain valleys interspersed with the occasional rice terrace and flowering groves, Sikkim is also home to many Tibetan-styled Buddhist monasteries and colourful prayer flags. The majestic Mt. Khangchengdzonga (8,598m) straddles Sikkim and neighbouring Nepal.
